New Wastewater Treatment Plant
A five mile length of the Santa Clara River is within the project boundaries and contains two L.A. County Significant Ecological Areas. These are the Santa Clara River (SEA) #23 and the Santa Susana Mountains SEA #20 and federally designated critical habitat for the endangered Least Bell's Vireo. This area also contains significant and rapidly disappearing cottonwood/willow riparian habitat.
